Are you visiting Mongolia as a part of a bigger package tour? There several choice trips based on the days of spare. A day in UB and a day in Terelj National Park is the shortest but most concise with a visit to beautiful National park, meeting with local nomads, meditation temple, optional horse riding for an hour or two and a night spent in a traditional Mongolian ger with a chance of authentic Mongolian meals.

Itinerary

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer for hotel. Early check-in. Start full day city tour with Gandan monastery, National history museum, Chinggis square and Choijin Lhama temple museum. Drive to Zaisan memorial hill and enjoy the full view of Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in a hotel. (L/D)

Day 2. Terelj National Park

Breakfast at the hotel and start driving to the grand statue of Chinggis Khan. Visit the statue and drive further to Terelj National Park. Have lunch and visit Turtle rock, Aryapala meditation temple and nomadic family. Optional horse-riding. Overnight in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 3. Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast and start driving to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight in a hotel. (B)
